Vice president Sara Duterte opened satellite offices in several regions of the country from which the Office of the Vice President (OVP) can provide immediate services.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Duterte said they opened six satellite field offices in six regions of the country during her first day as the Vice president.
She said the satellite offices are located in: Dagupan (Region 1), Cebu (Region VII), Tacloban (Region VIII), Zamboanga (Region IX), Davao (Region XI), and Tandag in Surigao del Sur (Region XIII).
Duterte earlier held transition talks with former Education Secretary Leonor Briones.
A joint farewell and welcome ceremony will be held on July 4, according to the Education Department.
Duterte said she would look into the possibility of a full resumption of face-to-face classes although the country is still under a state of public health emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Vice-president said that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. instructed her to review the K to 12 program. — DVM, GMA News
