Marcos, Sara lead OCTA's February election survey

The tandem of former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio topped the February 2022 Tugon ng Masa election survey conducted by OCTA Research.

Marcos got the support of 55 percent of the respondents, which was 1 percent higher than what he got in the December 2021 survey of the pollster.

Trailing him were Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo at 15 percent, Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso at 11 percent, Senator Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao at 10 percent, and Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson at 3 percent.

Meanwhile, Duterte-Carpio was the preferred vice presidential bet of 43 percent of the respondents. This was 7 percent lower than in December 2021.

She was followed by Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto 3rd at 33 percent, Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan at 10 percent, Dr. Willie Ong at 7 percent, and Buhay Partylist Representative Jose "Lito" Atienza at 1 percent.

The top picks for the senatorial race were Antique Representative Loren Legarda (66 percent), broadcaster Raffy Tulfo (63 percent), Taguig Representative Alan Peter Cayetano (61 percent), Senator Juan Miguel "Migz" Zubiri (60 percent), Sorsogon Governor Francis "Chiz" Escudero (59 percent), and former Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar (56 percent).

OCTA Research conducted interviews with 1,200 adult respondents nationwide from February 12 to 17, 2022. Results of the survey have a ±3 percent margin of error at a 95 percent confidence level.
