President Duterte has approved the appointment of 58 more prosecutors to various positions in the Department of Justice.
DOJ Secretary Menardo Guevarra said the appointees include four prosecutors who were promoted to the rank of Prosecutor IV.
Mary Ann Tugbang-Torres was appointed to Zamboanga del Sur, replacing Dimapuno Magangcong. Josephine Lacson Acuyado was appointed to Guimaras. She replaced Luzermindo Calmorin.
Vito Tesiorna Gotostos was assigned to Surigao del Sur, replacing Florito Cuartero. Emelyn Nacin-Catolico was designated to the Zambales prosecutor’s office. She replaced Jorge Baculi.
Prosecutor III Michael Aragon Vito Cruz was promoted to senior assistant state prosecutor. Prosecutor II Pearl Charisse Bautista and Prosecutor II Ashleigh Panopio were both promoted to assistant state prosecutor.
Vito Cruz, Bautista and Panopio will be assigned to the Office of the Secretary of Justice prosecution staff.
The other prosecutors were assigned in Manila, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasay, Quezon City and Taguig.
Duterte has appointed and promoted a total of 116 prosecutors in February alone.
