Pump prices of petroleum products will be reduced anew on Tuesday, marking the third second straight week of rollbacks for diesel and kerosene.
In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will lessen prices per liter of gasoline by P0.80, diesel by P0.75, and kerosene by P0.90.
Cleanfuel will implement the same price adjustments, excluding kerosene which it does not carry.
The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, for all firms except for Caltex which will implement the changes at 12:01 a.m., and Cleanfuel at 8:01 a.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
Diesel and kerosene prices were cut down for the second straight week last Tuesday, while gasoline prices were left unchanged.
Latest data available from the energy department show that year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P10.10 per liter for diesel, P8.30 per liter for kerosene, and P13.25 per liter for gasoline as of August 17, 2021. — RSJ, GMA News
