- A netizen tagged Kris Aquino on Instagram and asked her about the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN during her brother's term
- She said that she was not a member of NTC and that she was not privy to the inner workings and dealings of her former home network
- The actress said that she has been living in peace for several years and has not been a contract star of the network since the end of January 2016
- In the end, Kris finally suggested to the netizen that if her answer didn't satisfy him, then he could directly post on FB or tweet it and ask her brother directly because she is not his spokesperson
Kris Aquino has been keeping her silence ever since the news broke out about the shutdown of ABS-CBN, but recently, a netizen asked her as to why the franchise of ABS-CBN was not renewed during the term of former Pres. Benigno Aquino III.
The netizen, @oxmaf, asked, "Bakit hindi na renew ABS-CBN franchise nung time ng kapatid mo? [wondering emoji]"
The actress responded by saying that she would answer as factually and politely.
She said that she was not a member of the NTC, and most all, she mentioned that she was not privy to the inner workings and dealings of the highest level of management decision of my former home network.
Kris then "refreshed" the memory of the netizen:
"I haven't been a contract star of ABS-CBN since the end of January 2016, more than 4 years have passed."
Adding to this, she said that she hopes she will be allowed to keep her silence and underscored that she knows anything she says can be misinterpreted to suit the negative agenda of those who wish to only create more negativity.
At the end of her lengthy post, she said:
"If my answer didn't satisfy you, I suggest i-tweet mo or post mo sa FB yung tanong mo sa KAPATID ko, himself. After all, hindi niya ako spokesperson."

Kris has been spending her time with her sons in Puerto Galera and has been also going out of her way to help the local government amid the pandemic.
In a previous KAMI report, former Pres. Noynoy Aquino released a statement on the shutdown of ABS-CBN, where he said that the government created an "unnecessary problem."
ABS-CBN is one of the most popular media and entertainment outfits in the Philippines. It has produced top-caliber stars, well-loved programs, and timely news. Some of the popular shows are “It’s Showtime” and “TV Patrol.”
